Pre Purchase or Pre Sale Timber Pest Inspection and Annual Termite Inspections

A timber pest inspection is a comprehensive visual inspection conducted to Australian Standards 4349.3 2010.

Our motivation is to prove to ourselves the building to be inspected does not have active termite infestation and not simply to assume that infestation is not likely.

The purpose of the inspection is to provide advise within the agreed scope to a prospective, purchaser an owner or other interested party regarding the condition of a property in relation to the activity of timber pests.

Extent of report includes as follows:

  • Evidence of the presence of timber pests irrespective of whether past or current
  • Evidence of damage caused by timber pests and if such damage has resulted in safety hazards
  • Conditions conducive to timber pests. A comprehensive list of risk areas where termites may harbour or gain access to a building.
  • An opinion regarding the susceptibility of the building to timber pests.
  • Recommendations for further investigations.
  • Solutions for termite management of the property to be inspected.
