Termite Eradication and Management Systems
Termite Eradication and Management Systems
Premier Building and Pest Reports provide the latest techniques in termite eradication and management systems.
If you have discovered termites in your home or building please do not disturb them, simply call us on (07) 5500 6957 and our specialist technician will arrive ASAP to eradicate the termites from your premises.
- Firstly we will need to undertake and inspection and assessment of the infestation.
- Treat and activity and eradicate the colony.
- Finally installation of a management program.
The process of eradication is generally a relatively simple process using chemical foams, dusts or baiting stations. We like to use chemical foam and or dust applications that transfer the toxins throughout the entire colony. Baiting is another option however this process may take considerable time.
There are no one size fits all tactic for termite treatments and eradication. Premier Building and Pest Reports will investigate your current situation and customise a program to suit the area of infestation. As we are licenced builders we have a broader knowledge of building design. This allows us to implement the most appropriate application and termite management program for the type of building construction design on your property.

Types of Termite Management Systems
Chemical Soil Treatments
Also known as a chemical barrier the procedure is to saturate the soils around the perimeter of a buildings footings. The treated soils prevent termites travelling through the soil and onto the buildings footings.
Inground Termite Baiting Systems
This method requires the installation of bait stations strategically placed around the perimeter of a building. The station are relatively small and contain timber interceptors that numerous studies have found are preferred food sources for termites. The stations can be placed in soils, concrete or pavers. Concrete will require to be core drilled and the removed core area replaced with a baiting station or stations.Regular inspections usually 4-6 week intervals will be required to detect activity in the station.Once termites are detected in a station a non-toxic baiting formula is placed in the station for termites to feed on.One of the latest baiting station products available has termiticide rods installed in the station from day one eliminating the need for mixing of baiting products to be placed into an active station. The provides continuous protection from day one and the rods can last up to 5 years.
Termite Reticulation Systems
Reticulation systems are designed to replenish chemicals to the soil and areas under concrete such as the perimeters of houses. The reticulation system is a punctured pipe with small holes that saturates the surrounding soils with termite treating chemicals when under pressure.
A reticulation system can be installed to the perimeter of a building just after construction and before any additional paths/slabs are laid.
Reticulation systems can still be installed to an existing building but any additional concrete slabs will need to be cut to allow installation. If this is not possible, the concrete areas will need to be drilled and injected the old fashioned way.
